Early morning sounds..
suprabhatam from the temple next door!!, water..women and children filling up water, dogs barking .. the sound of prayer from the mosque close by.. sparrows..
smells of coffee from my mother's kitchen.. the gate to our home opening and closing as she goes in and out!! the sound of the electric pump fillng up our overhead tank.. radio FM!!
I gather the razai over my head and try to block out the light and sound.. neighbour calling out to my mother.. with the most burning question.."has the paper come.. the newspaper boy has dropped a Hindu instead of Deccan Herald!!'
Horn sounds.. my neices' school bus is here.. Sopu Sopu!! The greens have arrived at our door step.. Door bell peals .. the lady is here to collect the rubbish!! it goes on and on.... then its the carpet sales man..the steel vessels man.. the fruit vendor.. my neice is back from school.. the neighbour again.. 'could we pay her electricity bill along with ours!!'.. someone accelerating the scooter just below our window.. a truck trying to pass through our narrow road..commotion!!
Finally things begin to quiet..dog barks breaking the silence.. then deathly and errie quite!!

Kids love Bangalore too..
Of course they do. It's Bangalore. :D
The first time I visisted Bangalore I loved it. Later on lived there for a while and still visit it. With all the changes I wonder whether I will experience the old laid back Bangalore....
After living in Europe.. I feel India changes so fast.. I guess its the pace of growth!! Bangalore is surely different from what it used to be... But love it!
