the 'kiosk'

Recently our company has installed a 'kiosk' at the reception. The closest thing it resembles is a self check in machine at the airport. Employees walking in that day paused mid stride to gaze at this contraption. Some shuffled away with prioties higher to satisfy (like coffee) while others stopped by at desk of the receptionist to ask what it was.

Well, basically it was set up to 'check in' visitors. But it was the cause many a hillarious moments.. Like this one when were in management meeting and had just completed meeting and greeting every one in the room. The first point on the agenda viz. review of the minutes of the previous meeting was covered when boss's computer pinged loudly!! 'Excuse me' he said before muting his machine and gazing into his mail box with a very perplexed look. Like he was not able to even comprehend what was in there. All in the meeting room paused and looked at him. And then he laughed and laughed.. and we gaped and gaped.. What ????

Then he simply connected his computer screen to the Over Head Projector and we were all laughing.

This was his first ever mail from the 'kiosk'...

And we were well into our meeting already!!!
